- 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup potatoes, diced
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
