  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon wasabi (optional)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. Once cooked, transfer the rice to a large bowl and let it cool slightly.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved, then pour over the rice and mix gently.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine flaked salmon, cream cheese, mayonnaise, soy sauce, and wasabi (if using), mixing until well combined.
  7. In a baking dish, spread the sushi rice evenly across the bottom.
  8. Spread the salmon mixture over the rice, then sprinkle the sliced green onions on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until heated through.
  10. Remove from the oven and garnish with nori strips before serving.

Notes

  • This dish can be customized with different toppings such as avocado or cucumber.
  • Serve with extra soy sauce on the side for dipping.
