Poisoned Apple Cider

A spooky and delicious twist on traditional apple cider.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 orange slices
  • 1 lemon slice

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the apple cider and water.
  2. Add the brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, orange slices, and lemon slice.
  3. Simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Strain the mixture to remove the spices and slices.
  5. Serve warm in mugs.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of bourbon.
  • Garnish with additional orange slices or cinnamon sticks.
