Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes

A delicious and easy recipe for garlic butter steak and potatoes that makes the perfect weeknight meal.

  • 1 pound steak
  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear it in the skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Add the baby potatoes and garlic to the skillet and toss to combine.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, until the steak is cooked to your liking and the potatoes are tender.
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing the steak.
  7. Drizzle with remaining melted butter and garnish with rosemary before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some herbs de Provence along with the garlic.
  • Ensure not to overcrowd the skillet for a perfect sear.
