Creamy Garlic Parmesan Orzo

A creamy and delicious orzo dish with turkey bacon that offers comfort in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the orzo according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, then add Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Add cooked orzo and chopped turkey bacon. Stir until well combined.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with parsley before serving.
