  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk and then gradually add in the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until just combined.
  5. Scoop the batter into the lined cupcake pan, filling each liner about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. While the cupcakes are cooling, prepare the frosting by mixing the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  8. Frost the cooled cupcakes and sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon before serving.
