- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 1 pound beef steak
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and scoop out some of the inside to create a hollow center.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper, sautéing until soft.
- Add garlic and beef steak; cook until the steak is browned.
- Season with salt and pepper, then stir in shredded provolone cheese until melted.
- Fill the hollowed bread with the cheesesteak mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the bread is crispy and golden.
Notes
