Cheesesteak-Stuffed Garlic Bread

  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 1 pound beef steak
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and scoop out some of the inside to create a hollow center.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper, sautéing until soft.
  4. Add garlic and beef steak; cook until the steak is browned.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in shredded provolone cheese until melted.
  6. Fill the hollowed bread with the cheesesteak mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the bread is crispy and golden.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add some Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
